Fantastic Associate Acupuncturist Opportunity in a Growing Chinese Medicine Clinic

Julie Bear Don’t Walk, L.Ac, is looking for a compassionate, confident, and coachable Associate Acupuncturist to help us with our ongoing mission of helping people find THEIR best path to health. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-volume, patient-centered clinic with a successful, passionate entrepreneur. Beautiful, serene clinic in charming Lawrence, KS (home to University of Kansas, 35 minutes from Kansas City), with a deep commitment to vitality and healing at every level. This is an amazing place to work (and live) because of the rich opportunity for growing in vitality–clinically, personally, and in the community. I am looking for you to be part of the clinic’s mindful, sustainable, and authentic growth for the long term. This is an employee position, not an Independent Contractor role. Opportunity to grow into seeing 2-3 people per hour, cash based practice, no insurance credentialing required. Fair compensation with potential for profit sharing.

Ideally, you are a self-possessed healer who wants to learn, work with the best, and grow with a team.
You are also reliable and accountable, passionate about Chinese medicine, professional, and have mutual respect for the work we do together.

The NINJA trifecta you must possess to be considered for this job: compassion, confidence and coachability. (aka a genuine willingness to learn and work together!).

AND if you have strong acupuncture and herbal skills, professionalism, and communication skills, you will be at the top of our list! However, we can work with you to get there, especially if you bring amazing customer service to the table.

In order to be considered for this job, you must bring commitment, presence and passion to our team.

Additional non-negotiables for this job include:

*The ability to show up authentically, willingly and mindfully, with joy and compassion for our mission, in a neat and professional manner.

*NCCAOM certification and qualifications to get Kansas acupuncture license.

*Herbal training preferred, as is gentle needle technique, but not required. Open to all practitioner styles as long as it is approached with intention, respect, and a desire to grow.

If you hate flakiness, ego-driven medicine, and drama, all the better, you’ll be a great addition to our team!

One more thing–we are serious about our mission and business, so please DO NOT APPLY if:

You want to start your own practice / You think that being an employee means being less-than, or is just temporary until you can go out on your own

You are not deeply committed to patient-centered care and authentic, sustainable growth

You have something to prove with your vast knowledge of skills–our biggest skill is in meeting the patient where they are at, which means listening, treating appropriately and compassionately.

You cannot work at least one weekend day and 2 evenings a week, and are not willing to participate in ongoing marketing events.

If you are still reading and think you would be a good fit, please send me a cover letter explaining why you would make an excellent Associate Acupuncture employee at Julie Bear Don’t Walk, L.Ac.
